I’ve never been a fan of the term ‘Best Friend’. However, I did have a best friend once. Someone who was gentle, kind, never asked or expected too much and was always there when I needed him. But what made him different was that he was a wild animal. A fox to be precise.

I’ve always had a bit of a knack for collecting things. Most folks stick to stamps or coin. But I’m not most folks. For me, I’ve always been drawn to the more… Unconventional. The kind of stuff that makes your parents raise an eyebrow or two.

It all started with a lie, a harmless bending of the truth. While many reminisce about the love they had for a pet, a friend, a family member or even a complete stranger who bumped into them at just the right moment, I am talking about something different. I’m talking about how a scared and sensitive child fell in love with the horror genre.
