AUGUSTA GEIN

Augusta Gein, born in Germany, brought her devout Christian beliefs to the unsettling shores of the United States, where she married George Philip Gein and retreated to a desolate Wisconsin farm with her two sons, Henry and Ed.

Augusta's religiosity knew no bounds, and she homeschooled her sons as if she were shielding them from unholy abominations that lurked beyond the farmhouse walls. But it was her peculiar conviction that women were tainted, like cursed relics from some forbidden ritual, that whispered madness into young Ed's impressionable soul.

In 1945, Augusta's earthly chapter ended, leaving Ed alone on the farm. It was then that the darkness took root and a grotesque tale of terror began to unfurl.

In the afterlife, Augusta Gein found herself in quite a perplexing predicament. Much to her astonishment, she hadn't been ushered through the pearly gates of Heaven, where she had imagined herself comfortably ensconced in eternal hymn singing and harp-strumming. Instead, she found herself in Hell – a place decidedly more sultry and unsettling than the heavenly choir practice she had envisioned.

Now, Augusta was a woman of unwavering faith, and her sudden arrival in the fiery depths of the netherworld had her fuming like a teapot about to blow its whistle. She couldn't fathom why the Almighty had forsaken her, a devout Christian woman who had dedicated her life to righteousness (albeit with a certain fervour that raised a few eyebrows even among the angels).

With fire in her heart and hatred in her soul, Augusta felt let down by her saviour. And it wasn’t long before she used her misplaced feeling of deceit to begin hatching a plan to exact her revenge on the almighty for not allowing her to grace the kingdom of Heaven.
